Standard Disclosure

A Standard CRB check includes details of the convictions (both spent and unspent), cautions, reprimands and final warnings from the PNC (Police National Computer) that a person has. However, it does not show details of cases pending.
A standard CRB would cost 48.00.
The Standard CRB check is mainly for positions involving frequent contact with children or vulnerable adults, but can in addition be used for some other professions of high responsibility, such as accountancy.
Standard CRB checks reveal details of any convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings the applicant has received, in spite of length of time since the incidents; together with details of whether that person is banned from working with children or vulnerable adults.

Standard Disclosures are not suitable for those working with children and vulnerable adults in regulated and controlled activity, providing day care, childminding, fostering or adoption services. While such posts are included within the scope of the Exceptions Order, an Enhanced disclosure must be sought.
